The 718 Venue is an elegant and modern space conveniently located in the heart of downtown Fredericksburg near many shops, restaurants, and small town historic charm. The Venue was built in 1907 and features hardwood floors, exposed brick walls, a tin ceiling and drop pendant lights to set the mood of the space. Above the venue there is a luxurious suite filled with natural light from its tall windows, light walls, modern décor and everything to meet your needs before and after your wedding. Surrounded by the arts, history and culture, the 718 Venue has been restored to feature its architectural character but with an urban flair.

The 718 Venue Can Meet All of Your Wedding Needs Rain or Shine

The 718 Venue has the perfect option to never worry about needing a rain plan! The ceremony is held indoors in a temperature controlled environment. The reception as well is held indoors in the main venue space, perfect for not needing to go anywhere. The space allows for almost any decoration and theme options. There is just enough architecture that you can go as big or minimal as you want with your wedding décor without the space feeling empty.

The venue has exposed brick walls, tin tiled ceiling, hardwood floors and displays of art keep that historic character but also makes the space look modern and chic. Pendant lights hang from the ceiling and add a wonderful glow to the venue. The space can hold up to 100 people for a cocktail reception, and 72 for a seated dinner. There is a large bar for cocktail hour in the back of the venue and bathrooms are easily accessible!

The Luxurious Suite Upstairs is Perfect as a Getting Ready Space or Overnight Accommodations

The top floor elegant suite is the perfect space for getting ready with your bridal party. You are also able to stay the night after your wedding with your new spouse! There are two bedrooms, a large bathroom, a full kitchen and spacious sitting area all filled with natural light from the large windows and bright neutral walls. The same hardwood floors as in the main venue space run through the upstairs suite. The suite has a separate entrance from the main venue space below, offering guests privacy or if needed a moment of escape from the event downstairs.

The 718 Venue has Ample Opportunities for Photography Locations

Both inside and outside of the venue, there are plenty of locations to choose to take your wedding photos. The upstairs suite has large windows that let in an abundance of natural light. The bright, neutral walls offers a perfect place for getting ready photos, bridal portraits, bridal party photos, and wedding portraits if the weather isn’t cooperating. The bedrooms and living space, as well as stairwell with an exposed brick wall all are perfect places to get portraits you’ll cherish for a lifetime.

The main venue space is large enough to get photographs of your ceremony from multiple angles. It also has large windows at the front of the venue facing out towards Caroline Street, letting in ample natural light. Family portraits and photos of the wedding party can also be taken in the main venue or outdoors. There are plenty of locations nearby in downtown Fredericksburg. For outdoor wedding portraits, Caroline Street with its abundant colorful shops and restaurants, trees, and small town atmosphere are perfect for your pictures with your new spouse! Locations nearby also have greenery and depending on the time of year, cherry blossoms and other florals.

The 718 Venue is one of the neatest places I’ve had the privilege to photography a wedding at. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful for any questions I had. The vibe and atmosphere is suiting for the small town historic charm that Fredericksburg, Virginia is. The convenience of the location and that the venue offers couples the ability to stay overnight after their wedding is such a benefit! There are multiple options for guests to stay in walking distance of the venue as well.
